MEMORY GAME BY ATELIERS KRÄIZBIERG
The faces behind the product
ATELIERS KRÄIZBIERG
When it’s time to release new editions of the memory game stamped LuXembourg – Let’s make it happen, a blue and red mosaic of EmoXies suddenly invades the printing tables of the Ateliers Kraïzbierg workshops in Dudelange. Since 1982, the place has been welcoming people with physical disabilities in order to offer them a professional life as close as possible to work in the private sector. Their mission on site? To respond to the needs of private and corporate clients in a cross-functional way within the nine workshops that the structure has: multimedia, pottery, silk-screening, embroidery, printing, gardening, accounting, shop and service provision.
The memory game, however, is part of the Ateliers Kraïzbierg’s own collection of products, designed to further enhance the skills of their employees. The ambition of the management? To gain visibility in Luxembourg and to highlight the know-how of the teams in order to promote their social inclusion and their employability in the Luxembourg job market.
Because that is the whole objective of Les Ateliers, which is to be a springboard to the outside world for its 112 employees: to take a positive look at difference and prove that diversity is valuable.
The product and its values
MEMORY GAME
The memory game of the Kraïzbierg Workshops was entirely developed and produced by the workers of the screen-printing department. They produced the initial graphic design, but also took care of all the different stages of production of the game: printing, cutting and assembly.
Inside the game box are 72 cards featuring the EmoXies, emblems of Luxembourg revisited as emojis and named after the “X” of the Luxembourg Signature. To play, simply lay the cards face down on a table, then turn over two of them at random until you find two identical images and put the pairs together. A game 100% made in Luxembourg, which will bring joy to children and adults!
